A small pause to return to yourself
This practice does not ask you to make anything happen. Find a comfortable position, let your breath move naturally, and use the weight or texture of a nearby crystal as a simple sensory anchor.
Prepare your space
- Choose a place where you can sit or lie down without needing to respond to anything for a few minutes.
- Keep a glass of water, a light layer, or anything else that helps your body feel at ease nearby.
- If you are using a crystal, hold it in your hands, rest it on your heart, or place it beside you. There is no correct way.
- Set the volume so the voice feels close, not overwhelming.
With your crystal
No particular stone is required. When your mind moves away, simply notice the stone's weight, temperature or surface and come back to one easy breath.
Six quiet companions for meditation
These six are gentle starting references for meditation because they invite a simple quality of clarity, quietness or grounded attention. They are not a required set, and there is no best choice: use the crystal already with you, an ordinary stone, or nothing at all.

Return to the feeling of the practice
You may not need to arrive at a special feeling. The value of this practice can be as simple as noticing that you paused, breathed, and came back to yourself. Whenever you next hold your crystal — or simply need a quiet moment — you can begin here again.Explore the practice library
