Many customers confuse Celestite with Blue Calcite due to their similar colors and appearances, as well as their similar healing properties. However, the two can be distinguished by their density and crystal structure: Celestite is denser, so the same size piece of Celestite will feel heavier than Blue Calcite. Additionally, Celestite has a more loosely structured crystal formation, making it difficult to carve or polish naturally, which is why polished Celestite products are rare. In contrast, while Blue Calcite has a lower hardness, its trigonal crystal system gives it a tighter structure, making it more suitable for creating polished products.
