Understanding the Vogel Crystal Cut
Share
The Vogel crystal is a specialized crystal cutting technique designed to enhance the crystal's ability to focus energy and connect with the user. It strengthens the crystal's role as a bridge between the spiritual and physical realms, increasing the potential for manifestation. Here’s the principle behind it and how to use it:
The Vogel crystal is named after Marcel Vogel, the scientist who developed this design. With a background in computer technology and memory design, Vogel believed that crystals could store, amplify, and transmit human memories and thoughts. However, he also realized that crystals have neutral energy and require specific techniques to maximize their effectiveness. He dedicated years to discovering ways to enhance the connection between crystal energy and human consciousness, making crystals more accessible for everyday use.
Inspired by a geometric pattern seen in a dream, Marcel Vogel developed the Vogel cutting method after extensive experimentation. Key features of this cut include:
- The crystal must be cut along its growth axis (C-axis), typically found in crystallized stones like quartz.
- It must be double-terminated.
- The width of the female side must be larger than the male side.
- The internal angle of the female side should be as close to 51.5 degrees as possible.
- It must be hand-polished.
- The polisher must understand the purpose of the Vogel Cut.
- Crystals with 12 or 24 facets enhance internal light refraction, increasing their effectiveness. (Cuts with more than 24 facets are difficult to achieve due to the challenge of maintaining balance.)
To use a Vogel crystal, take advantage of its ability to connect and amplify human consciousness. Regularly hold the Vogel crystal while focusing on your goals, or use it for meditation and visualization exercises. Placing it in areas where you work towards your goals can help amplify your intentions, improve focus, motivation, and execution, and attract energies that support the achievement of your objectives.
