Its purple, spherical quartz crystal clusters grow together, resembling bunches of grapes, hence the name. Initially, it was believed that Grape Agate, like petrified wood, had incorporated organic matter to form its plant-like shape, but this theory was later dismissed through verification.

Grape Agate is a relatively young mineral, first discovered in Sulawesi, Indonesia, in 2016. Due to its unique appearance, it quickly became popular in the mineral world, and its limited availability has made it a must-have for collectors.
